"Joy" on Christmas Eve

Christmas time was a little different this year. Usually Jeremy and I go to his grandmas for Christmas eve dinner with the extended family (About 50 people attend) and we do our white elephant gift exchange and santa comes for all of the kids. Then we head back to Jeremy's parents for more present opening and more family time. Then we wake up Christmas morning, open presents, eat carmel rolls, go to my parents in the afternoon and back to Jeremy's parents in the evening time.
Well, as my last post said, I spend Christmas day at the airport. Fun stuff....
Rewinding one month: Over Thanksgiving, we had a little girl placed with us. It was only suppose to be a temporary placement, but we fell in love with her! Man, what a cutie! To protect her, I will call her "Joy", since that is what she had been to us the 2 weeks she was with us. After Joy left at the beginning of December, we really began to miss her and had been praying that she could spend some time with us at Christmas.
Well, our prayers were answered because we had the pleasure of spending Christmas Eve with her! We started the evening out by opening presents at our house and then the Kennedy's came over to spend some time with her and she opened their present. Then we headed off to Jeremy's parents to spent more time with grammie, papa and all of the aunts, uncles and cousins. You see, Joy fits in our family so well. Its amazing to watch her interact with all of our nieces, nephews and all of the little kids at church. Even the first Sunday we had her, she jumped in our church's kids choir on stage and sang her little heart out! It was too cute. So, I'm sure she loves having family and friends to call her own.
We ended the evening with Jeremy's parents dressing up as Santa and Mrs. Clause! It was so memorable! I'm so thankful my camera didn't die until the night was almost over. Here are some awesome shots from that day.
